the world's inaugural commercial space station, named Vast Haven-1

Vast has made a groundbreaking announcement, revealing its collaboration with SpaceX to launch what is anticipated to become the world’s inaugural commercial space station, named Vast Haven-1. This will be swiftly followed by two human spaceflight missions to the said space station. The scheduled launch will take place on a Falcon 9 rocket to low-Earth orbit, expected no earlier than August 2025. Haven-1 is set to function as a fully independent space station and will eventually integrate as a module into a larger Vast space station currently under development.

Following the successful launch of Haven-1, the Falcon 9 rocket will undertake Vast’s inaugural human spaceflight mission to the commercial space station, Vast-1.

Upon the successful launch of Haven-1, Falcon 9 will embark on Vast’s first human spaceflight mission to the commercial space station, Vast-1. The Dragon spacecraft, carrying a crew of four individuals, will dock with Haven-1, and the team will spend up to 30 days orbiting Earth. Vast has also secured an option for an additional human spaceflight mission to the station using a Dragon spacecraft.

The selection process for the Vast-1 crew is already

The selection process for the Vast-1 crew is already underway, and the crew members will be publicly announced at a later date. Following the crew’s confirmation, SpaceX will provide rigorous training on Falcon 9 and the Dragon spacecraft, including emergency preparedness, exercises for spacesuit and spacecraft ingress and egress, and full mission simulations encompassing docking and undocking procedures for the return to Earth.

Vast’s ultimate objective

Vast’s ultimate objective is to develop a massive multi-module spinning artificial gravity space station, spanning 100 meters in length. This ambitious project will be launched using SpaceX’s cutting-edge Starship transportation system. To achieve this goal, Vast plans to conduct the world’s first spinning artificial gravity experiment on its commercial space station, Haven-1.

The groundbreaking partnership between Vast and SpaceX is set to pave the way for increased accessibility to space and open up unprecedented opportunities for exploration, bringing humanity closer to its vision of becoming a multi-planetary species.
